Fast food on a banana leaf... Starting his career by working at a hotel, Shrikant Mankar started a modest business of selling dosas and utappas on a hand cart on Satara Road in 1986. Little did he know that this humble venture would one day snowball itself into be coming one of Pune's most Famous South Indian fast-food chains. Santosh More, Shrikant's brother-in-law, who handles the business after Shrikant's demise, says, "We got excellent feedback from people from day one. The only glitch was that we didn't gave a licence for our cart. All we ever wanted was a place of our own." That dream realised 19 years later.
